Keep Watch National Van Run 2011
As a proud partner of the Royal Life Saving Keep Watch programme, PoolWerx is helping raise awareness across Australia with a National Van Run, following the National Drowning Report being presented in Canberra by Royal Life Saving on Wednesday September 21.
Every year over 35 Australian children under the age of five drown. With events in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on Sunday, September 25, join the PoolWerx Mobile Vans to bring attention to the Keep Watch aim of reducing preventable drowning deaths of children under five across Australia.

Perth
A convoy of some 30 of our Vans will traverse the Perth metro area from Mandurah in the south and Mindarie in the north. After our Van Run we will be stopping by the Princess Margaret Hospital children’s hospital as guests of Radio Lollipop.
We will be completing our Van Run with a sausage sizzle for Keep Watch at Point Fraser Car Park off Riverside Drive with the 92.9 BBQ street event from 12- 2.00pm. We'll be holding competitions for pool safety there will be competitions with chances to win safety products and free giveaways of handy Keep Watch material.
Brisbane
There will be four convoys departing from around south-east Queensland, converging on Mt Coot-tha for a BBQ to raise money for Keep Watch. There will be competitions and giveaways along the way.
Route 1: Departing from PoolWerx Ipswich, the convoy will head towards Forest Lake on the Warrego Highway, through Browns Plains, Sunnybank, Sherwood, Indooroopilly, along Coronation Drive towards the City and finally arriving at the summit of Mt Coot-tha.
Route 2: Departing from Noosa, the convoy will head down the Bruce Highway to Brisbane via Bribie Island, Burpengary, Strathpine, Wavell Heights, Albany Creek, Keperra and finally arriving at the summit of Mt Coot-tha.
Route 3: Departing from PoolWerx Balmoral, heading east through Wynnum, Birkdale, Cleveland, then through Capalaba, Mt Gravatt, Coorparoo, Brisbane City and finally arriving at the summit of Mt Coot-tha.
Route 4: Departing from PoolWerx Tweed Heads, the convoy will head north on the M1, through Elanora, Robina and onto the Gold Coast Highway where they will head through Surfers Paradise, Southport, Runaway Bay and Helensvale before rejoining the M1 and heading north through Brisbane to finally arrive at the summit of Mt Coot-tha.
Melbourne
Three convoys will be crossing Melbourne bound for Port Melbourne, departing from Geelong, Mt Eliza and Ringwood.
Sydney
Departing Sunday 25 September at 9:30am from the Better Homes & Gardens show at Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush, the convoy will head onto the M4 and head west to finally arrive at the Children’s Hospital, 212 Hawkesbury Road, Westmead.
