Based in Farmers Branch Texas and reporting directly to our Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for proactively managing the national procurement function for Poolwerx US franchise operations in order to maximize the return from our existing and future supply partners across the entire trading year.  You will also be a key member of our Global Supply team, having input and influence in strategy and execution across our other key markets in Australia and New Zealand.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set the Strategy for supply for the Poolwerx network to ensure our operators have access to the best products, at commercially savy deals

  • Achieve competitive price advantage through knowledge of markets, including the relevant domestic and international economic factors

  • Negotiate each deal, and ensure that both parties are living up to their obligations during the term

  • Manage supply chain to ensure no interruption in supply

  • Actively be involved in the selection, implementation, and execution of best practice Inventory Management practices inside our NetSuite ERP platform, and the rollout across the network

  • Actively manage and maintain our master inventory list with relevant and accurate data

  • Review and enhance our Demand Planning and Warehouse Management System as we take inventory management to the next level across the group

  • Manage EDI integration and implementation with key vendors

 Job Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

  • License and/or Certification:  Membership of CIPSA or similarly recognized professional procurement membership (preferred)

 Skills and other Requirements:

  • At least 3 years in Commercial Sourcing and Supply Chain Management for a multi-site organization

  • Drive efforts to leverage supplier resources to bring new ideas and products/commodities/services, including new ingredients to enable our growth aspirations

  • Successful experience in implementing innovative, continuous process improvements

  • Experience in developing budgets, forecasts, and sell-through projections

  • Ability to negotiate and to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders that command support, influence, and respect to secure cooperation and participation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Advanced analytical skills with intermediate/advanced Excel skills

  • Exposure to ERP systems and the ability to harness for improvement

  • Highly desirable – At least 3 years of successful commercial experience in a franchise organization in the areas of strategic procurement and transactional purchasing activity
