I called Redlands Pool and Spa immediately. It was 4:45 PM. As I suspected, I was told the 2 service technicians were busy and the closest appointment he could book was nearly 2 weeks out. I explained the circumstances I was in with the grandchildren. It must have rung a bell with him because after we hung up, he called me back to say he had called Mike, who had agreed to swing by my address on his way home. Mike arrived and quickly identified the problem, worked through it, had the necessary part on his truck to fix the heater and tested it before leaving. It was pleasing for me to see someone understand the old time work ethic and value of great customer service. My grandchildren and their parents gave our pool a big workout over that weekend. Mike represents your business extremely well and even though I have been a long time customer with you, I will share my experience with all those who give me a chance to brag about your company and the fine employees you have working there.
I took a pump in for repair which I felt was toast and was fearing that it needed to be completely replaced. The guys took it apart, found that it was simply a rubber band tangled around the motor. It’s great to know that there are still honest people in business today. I will forever refer friends and family their direction. Thanks guys!!!!
Today was a good day for me because you sent an efficient, courteous and friendly service tech, ‘Mike’ in answer to my request for help. In this time it was a real pleasure to have Mike stop by. He was knowledgeable and took the time to correct and adjust pool pump to improve flow of water and to correct vacuum leak problem. Thank you!
I just want to commend your company. I just restarted with your company last week when I called with a green pool. Within a couple of hours Steve was out and brought the blue back to the pool and checked and worked on it the next few days. Thank you for the prompt and courteous service!
Again I received excellent service from Redlands Pool & Spa Center. My pool pump was making a racket and the Polaris Pool Sweep was barely moving. A serviceman came out within a day after receiving my request for service, and cleaned the filter and repaired the pool sweep by replacing a couple of worn parts at a reasonable price, and all is now well with my pumps, pool sweep, and swimming pool. They also clean spas well, and sell bottles of fragrant liquid drops to toss in. I recently enjoyed Vanilla Twist aroma, and just purchased Cucumber.
This is a first-rate, fair, and honest provider of pool and spa services. They also have great house pole flags available for all seasons.
They are fabulous. The guys are super knowledgeable and understanding. Matt and Josh are very customer oriented.
You and we are so lucky to have Justin! Poor guy never knows what adverse conditions he will come across! One Tuesday he came and the pool was all covered with plastic because of painting. He was still able to do his job. The dogs don’t even bark when he rolls up! He’s a great guy!
These guys are pros. We have used them for years to do various repairs on our pool and spa equipment. We also purchased chemicals at the store and get lots of good advice on how to maintain our system. When we purchased our new but older home in Redlands we had Cal do a pool inspection for us. Turns out they has been servicing this pool for over twenty years and knew everything about it. We continue to use them now to do our weekly service and recommend them to friends and clients.

Day after Thanksgiving! Wow. Joanne was at the office and took my call very happily! So wonderful to call and find that help would be on the way! Mike (Super Guy) arrived and we knew right away we were in good hands. He solved the problem, really knew what he was doing and we were back in service! We feel blessed to be a customer.

I wanted to include a letter to thank you for all of your help. My husband passed away and taking care of the pool is foreign to me. Your repairman not only fixed the Polaris but he called me and explained what needed to be repaired. And then he went above and beyond and adjusted the float level in my pool because it didn’t want to shut off. I can’t begin to thank you enough for your service and help. It has made what has been a very difficult time in my life just a little less complicated. I know that I will recommend your company to all of my friends.

Cal Boothby
CFO and "Chief Visionary"
As co-owner, Cal is our CFO and “Chief Visionary”. He came to the pool industry over 33 years ago and immediately set out to learn all he could about pools and spas – the structure, hydraulics, plumbing and electrical elements, as well as the best manufacturers and suppliers. He obtained a Pool Contractor’s C-53 License in 1986 and although he built pools for a time, his focus shifted toward establishing Redlands Pool & Spa Center as the premiere retail pool & spa store, weekly service, and repair/installation company in Redlands and the Inland Empire. Cal is very active in Rotary (serving as President for one year and as current Treasurer for 4 years) and is an elder in his church. He also picks up and distributes donated food to homeless shelters on a weekly basis. His free time is devoted to family and friends, travel, an occasional golf game and rooting for the Giants during football season.
Sharon Boothby
Administrative and Marketing Manager
Although Sharon has been involved in the pool industry as co-owner with Cal since 1984, she is a trained Clinical Laboratory Scientist, and worked in that profession until 15 years ago, when she left it to become Administrative and Marketing Manager for Poolwerx Redlands. In the community, she serves on the board of directors for the Riverside Educational Enrichment Foundation, is an Elder in her church, and is a member of the Art Alliance of the Riverside Art Museum. She also delivers meals to the housebound through “Meals on Wheels”. Her free time is devoted to family and friends, travel, arts and crafts, reading, and cooking.
Ken V
General Manager/Repair Operations Manager
Ken is our General Manager/Repair Operations Manager and has been with the company for 31 of his 39 years in the Pool & Spa Industry. Ken carries many industry certifications and is one of the foremost pool and spa experts in the Inland Empire. Ken is also a Volunteer Sheriff Ranger who has proudly completed his PC832. In his free time, Ken enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son while horseback riding, team roping, boating, and waterskiing.
Joshua M
Retail Operations Manager
Josh is our Retail Operations Manager and is in his 18th year in the Pool & Spa Industry. He carries a number of certifications both in and out of the Industry. In his free time, Josh is an itinerate minister & recording artist who loves to spend time with his family and working with his hands. He and his wife have a passion for sustainable agriculture and regularly hold workshops to teach people how to sustainably cultivate high-quality organic produce on their own properties.
Ken C
Purchasing & IT Manager
Ken is our Purchasing & IT Manager and is in his 7th year with the company. While the majority of his time is spent managing things behind the scenes Ken can be found helping clients on the sales floor from time-to-time. He attended UCLA for English and the Control Data Institute for Computer Technology. In his free time, Ken enjoys working on computers & rooting for his favorite sports teams: the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
JoAnne C
Repair Administrator
JoAnne is our Repair Administrator (and ‘Office Mom’)—She has been a part of our family for 13 of the 32 years she has been in the Industry. She is one of the friendly voices who will greet you when you call to set an appointment, pay a bill, or ask for advice. In her free time, JoAnne enjoys playing bingo, going for drives, and hanging out with her five awesome grandchildren.

Retail Team Leader
Dan is in his 13th year with RPSC. He started in our service department as a Pool Service Technician and is now a vital asset as one of our Retail Operations Team Members. Dan has attended more industry training courses than we can count and is considered an expert in Pool Water Chemistry. In his free time, Dan enjoys bowling and fixing up his house. He hopes to one day own a car with a ‘Big Block’.

Repair Scheduler
Joseph is in his 6th year with Poolwerx Redlands as a Pool Service Technician. He has attended training both inside and outside the industry—He currently attends Crafton Hills College. In his free time, Joseph enjoys art, music, and photography. He has a passion for cooking and regularly enjoys preparing Italian dishes, as well as American Bar-B-Que. He is also a fan of racing and snowboarding.

David is in his 5th year with Poolwerx Redlands. He started out as a retail associate & inventory control assistant and has moved to our service department as a Pool Service Technician. He enjoys interacting with his wonderful pool service clients. In his free time, David enjoys playing drums.

In his free time, Justin enjoys attending concerts, hanging out with his friends, camping, and most of all rooting for his favorite sports teams: The Los Angeles Lakers, the USC Trojans, and the San Diego Chargers.

Pool Service Technician
Betty is a Pool Service Technician who has been with Poolwerx Redlands for 5 of her almost 23 years in the industry. She is a BioGuard trained Pool Water Chemistry expert. Although Betty initially trained to be an EMT, she found her calling in the Pool Industry and hasn’t looked back. She is adored by her peers and clients alike—her cheerful nature truly brings something extra to the table. She loves pool & spa maintenance because of the beautiful pools she gets to work with and the wonderful people she gets to meet. In her free time, Betty enjoys playing Violin and working with her hands (whether it’s building with Legos or laying tile), as well as listening to all kinds of music. She is a fan of comedy and loves to cook!

Mike is in his 13th year with Poolwerx Redlands, and his 26th year in the Pool & Spa Industry. He is an expert Pool Repair Technician with many industry certifications—he regularly attends seminars and clinics to maintain this status and to continually learn about the newest technology industry manufacturers have to offer. He has his Associates in Administrative Justice. In his free time, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping.
