Meet the owners
Hi! We’re Brian and Kristin Phillips, Franchise Partners for Poolwerx Southshore, Riverview and Fishhawk and Parrish.
Brian is a true Floridian, born and raised in Tampa, while Kristin is originally from Ohio. We lived in several places during our corporate careers, but in 2011, we returned to the Southshore area with our three children—and pools have been a huge part of our lives ever since.
Kristin has always loved the water. She was a lifeguard in high school and college, certified to maintain large pools, and even swam competitively at two universities. As a family, we love boating, RV’ing, and supporting our kids in competitive soccer and skimboarding.
After 25+ years in the corporate world and eight years as entrepreneurs in logistics, we were drawn to Poolwerx because of the warmth and support we felt from the team in Dallas. We saw a real need in our community for quality retail stores, professional pool service, and reliable repairs—and we wanted to help fill that gap.
We’re excited to bring premier pool and spa service, maintenance, and repairs to the Southshore area. Backyards are for family time and memory-making, and we know how important it is to have a pool that’s ready whenever you are. We’re here to take the stress out of pool care and build lasting relationships with every client we serve!

Poolwerx Southshore offers premium weekly pool service along with chemical delivery, repairs, equipment sales and installation. We have electronic photometer technology to test your water, so there is no guessing what color the readings are. Our team of skilled professionals are ready to handle all your pool and spa needs along with always providing exceptional customer service and top-notch industry knowledge to make sure your pool is ready when you are!

We service all of the Southshore area! For weekly service, we are currently servicing Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Riverview, Wimauma, Lithia, Sun City Center. For equipment installations and repairs, we service all of the Tampa Bay area and Parrish, Ellenton & Palmetto.

Prices vary depending on the pool. Since every pool is different, we will visit your pool and complete a thorough water test before giving you a quote. Some factors that are considered include - cage or no cage, size of the pool, spa or no spa and the landscaping around the pool.

Yes, we are licensed & insured and are able to repair, replace and install any pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, saltwater systems, lights and automation controls.

We offer FREE delivery on pool chemicals in Apollo Beach, Ruskin, Riverview, Fishhawk, Wimama & Sun City Center.

We will service your pool weekly throughout the entire year. It is just as important to keep the chemicals balanced during the cooler months as it is in the warm months. Each visit one of our trained technicians will visually inspect equipment for any problems or leaks. We will test and balance your pool water as well as brush sides, skim the top and vacuum the bottom as needed. We will empty the skimmer basket each visit and the pump basket as needed. If you have a cartridge filter, it will be cleaned once a month and sand filters are backwashed once a month. Quad cartridge filters will be cleaned once a quarter and DE filters will be backwashed once a quarter.

Yes all chemicals to balance chlorine, pH, stabilizer and alkalinity are included. Any specialty chemicals for phosphates, metals, staining or special circumstances will be an additional charge.
