Meet the Owners
Hello! We are Amy and Steve Schroeder, the owners of Poolwerx Sarasota. We moved down to Florida in 2015 and quickly came to the realization that there was a need for a good quality pool service company, so we decided to join the Poolwerx family and opened our store and mobile pool service business in January 2018.
We are proud parents of two grown children, Nick and Alex. Alex has worked for us since we opened in 2018 and takes care of our commercial account customers, making it truly a family business.

Amy was in the medical field as a Somnologist performing sleep studies and is a certified phlebotomist. She also was in charge of the local area’s soup kitchen and served as director for over ten years. She holds a degree in Health and Human Services. Steve was a prior Program Manager for several different industries ranging from US Army Combat Vehicles, to Orthodontics. He holds an associates degree in Engineering, a Bachelors in Business Administration as well as an MBA.
Both Amy and Steve are CPO certified and are committed to creating a personal experience when taking care of your pool needs. We are in the business to make memories for you and your family.

Our weekly service includes a detailed email report after each visit so you always know the condition of your pool. We test and balance chlorine and pH weekly, with alkalinity checked bi-weekly and calcium and stabilizer monitored monthly. We brush walls on an alternating schedule, vacuum as needed, skim the surface, and empty skimmer and pump baskets each visit. The filter system is cleaned or backwashed monthly, and we inspect equipment, O-rings, and check for leaks. If we notice any issues, we’ll document them in your weekly report and recommend next steps.
